Desert Rose is a 1,000,000 m² agricultural and mixed-use development located in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, approximately 20 kilometers west of the city of Dohuk. The master-planned project comprises a diverse range of land uses, including agricultural and industrial facilities such as food production greenhouses, cold storage warehouses, packing and processing facilities, and grain mills. The development also incorporates retail, residential, educational, and convention center components, creating a self-sustaining and economically diverse community.
TJEG provided comprehensive engineering services for the roads and infrastructure supporting the development. Working closely with the architect during the master planning phase, the team helped establish an integrated infrastructure strategy that balanced functionality, efficiency, and long-term growth requirements. The design was subsequently advanced through detailed engineering and tender documentation, enabling the procurement and construction of the road network and associated infrastructure. This phased approach ensured that essential infrastructure was in place to support the future development of the individual plots throughout the Desert Rose community.
