The Al Amal Psychiatric Complex is a 250-bed, 1.2 million sq ft behavioral health facility located on a 24-acre campus in Dubai. Designed as a prototype healthcare environment, the development supports adult and adolescent psychiatric care, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and inpatient and outpatient treatment programs in both secure and non-secure settings.

The project’s design approach focuses on creating a peaceful and therapeutic environment that promotes patient wellness, operational efficiency, and long-term recovery while respecting the culture and values of its users. Thoughtful planning, integrated landscape features, and carefully designed patient spaces help reduce the stigma often associated with mental health treatment by providing a welcoming, safe, and calming atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff alike.
