The San Mateo County Health Center is a comprehensive 200-bed healthcare campus designed to support a wide range of inpatient and outpatient medical services. The development includes a hospital, nursing wing, medical office building, diagnostic and treatment facilities, outpatient clinics, and a central utility plant, creating an integrated healthcare environment focused on operational efficiency and patient-centered care.

The central plant was engineered to provide reliable and resilient infrastructure for the entire campus and houses a 1,400-ton chilled water system, a 17 million BTUH hot water heating system, medical air compressors, medical vacuum pumps, and medical gas systems essential for critical healthcare operations.

The electrical infrastructure includes a 12kV power distribution system supported by a 2,400 kW emergency backup generator to ensure uninterrupted operation of vital medical services during utility outages. Additional systems include fire alarm, nurse call, and PBX communication systems designed to enhance safety, coordination, and overall hospital functionality within this high-performance healthcare facility.
